Ingredients
- 4 whole wheat pita bread or naan bread
- 1 1/3 cup tomato-basil pasta sauce
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced and sauteed with salt and pepper
- 1 cup baby spinach, coarsley chopped
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- Also good with Italian sausage
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 450°F. Place pitas on a pizza pan or baking sheet. Spoon pasta sauce over crust leaving a small border. Top with mushrooms and spinach; sprinkle with cheese and red pepper. Bake for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.
