Rabbit Paprika (or Chicken)

  • 1 rabbit or small chicken
  • salt to taste
  • 1 large onion
  • 6 tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 2 cups water
  • 3 lb. small white or red potatos whole or halved if bigger
  • 4-5 carrots, sliced
  • 2 tbsp. flour
  • 1 cup sour cream



Step 1

Clean rabbit (chicken), cut into serving pieces and sprinkle with salt. Fry onion in butter, add paprika, meat and brown on all sides. Pour in water, add vegetables, cover and simmer until tender - about 1 hour, remove meat from pan. Mix flour with sour cream and add to gravy, simmer 5 minutes.
