Baked Carmel Corn

  • 6 to 7 qts of popped popcorn
  • Topping
  • 1 c. melted margerine or butter
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. dark syrup or light
  • 1/8 tsp. molasses
  • 1/2 tsp soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 c. peanuts optional



Step 1

pop popcorn and put in large roaster pan.

stir and bring all ingredients to a boil except the soda and vanilla.
Stirring constantly. Boil 5 minutes without stirring and remove from heat. Stir in the vanilla and the soda. Pour over popcorn and stir

Bake at 250 degrees for 1 hour..
Stirring every 15 min. Remove from oven. Cool and break apart.
