Crockpot Refried Beans

Ingredients

  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cups dry pinto beans
  • 1/2 fresh jalapeno, seeded and chopped
  • 2 TBS minced garlic
  • 5 tsp salt
  • 1 3/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/8 tsp ground cumin
  • 9 cups water

Preparation

Step 1

Place all ingredients into crockpot and cook on high for 8 hours, adding more water if necessary. Drain beans reserving liquid. Mash beans adding reserved liquid if necessary.
