Ingredients
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup fine crushed pretzels
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 8 oz cream cheese, at room temp
- 8 oz cool whip
- 2 TBS cornstarch
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 8 oz can crushed pineapple, drained with juice reserved
Preparation
Step 1
In medium bowl, mix together pretzels 1/2 cup sugar and melted butter. Press onto bottom of 9X9 baking dish.
In another bowl, beat 1/2 cup sugar and cream cheese until fluffy. Fold in cool whip. Spread over pretzel crust.
In a small saucepan, stir together cornstarch and 1/4 cup sugar. Mix in reserved juice and bring to boil over medium heat. Cook, stirring until thickened, about 5 minutes. Stir in crushed pineapple. Spread over cream cheese layer. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 1/2 hours or until firm.
