MAPLE PINEAPPLE CURE FOR HAMS

Ingredients

  • 1 GALLON APPLE CIDER OR APPLE JUICE
  • 4 OUNCE PRAGUE POWDER #1
  • 8 OUNCE PINEAPPLE CHUNKS RAN THROUGH A FOOD PROCESSOR
  • 1 CUP MAPLE SYRUP
  • 1 CUPS BROWN SUGAR

Preparation

Step 1

POUR 1/2 GALLON APPLE JUICE / CIDER INTO CROCK POT, TURN ON HIGH, RUN PINEAPPLE THROUGH FOOD PROCESSOR AND ADD INTO CROCK POT, MEASURE OUT REST OF THE INGREDIENTS MIX THOROUGHLY. LET HEAT TILL HOT AND MIX THOROUGHLY A FEW TIMES.. MAY TAKE 1 HR TO 1 1/2 HOUR... LET COOL TO ROOM TEMP.

NOTE: I USE A CROCK POT TO PREVENT SCORCHING OF THE INGREDIENTS, YOU MAY HEAT IN A NON REACTIVE POT ON A LOW HEAT.
