RUSTY CAST IRON

- Heat your rusty cast iron pan and add canola oil & a generous amount of kosher salt. Rub the pan with the salt/oil mixture until the rust is gone.
- Discard salt, wipe out pan, rub with additional oil and place upside down on the top shelf of your oven. Place a foil lined sheet pan on next shelf to catch any drippings.
- Turn oven on to 400° and bake for 1 hour. turn the oven off and leave the pan in the oven to cool.
After each use be sure to dry the pan thoroughly and wipe with a small amount of oil before storing.
