Sour Cherry Pie
Recipe contributed by Vikki Gremel of Seward, Nebraska.
"If it weren't for the pitting, this would be the easiest pie on earth to make. Don't tell anyone I said it, but canned cherries are a whole lot faster & the taste is actually not half bad." I think I will try frozen organic cherries, thank you. :)
Here's a trick from the novel that might help with pitting cherrie: "Use a paper clip. You just unfold it, stick it in, and pull the pit right out."
