- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 cup milk
- 3/4 c soft breadcrumbs (French or Italian bread in food processor)
- 1 pound ground fully cooked ham
- 1 + pound ground pork
- 1-1/2 cups packed brown sugar
- 2/3 cup water
- 1/3 cup white vinegar
- 3/4 teaspoon ground mustard
- SAUCE:
- 2 cans crushed pineapple
- 1 c brown sugar
- 2 T vinegar
- 4-6 T mustard
Preparation
Step 1
Mix meats, eggs, milk, breadcrumbs and form into balls. Place in Pam-coated baking dish.
SAUCE: In a large saucepan, combine sauce ingredients; bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 4 minutes. Pour over ham balls. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 60-70 minutes.
SAUCE: Mix pineapple, sugar, vinegar and mustard. Pour over ham balls and bake 350 for 1 1/2 hours, basting frequently.
