Cracker Candy

Ingredients

  • 1 Sleeve Saltine or Ritz Crackers
  • 1 Cup (2-sticks) Butter
  • 1 Cup + 2 TBS Brown Sugar
  • 1 Bag Chocolate Chips
  • 1/2 Cup Toasted Pecans

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350°.

Line a baking sheet with foil. Spray with Pam. Line the baking sheet with single layer of crackers (salt side down).

Melt butter. Stir in sugar, and bring to a low boil. Continue boiling, stirring constantly to prevent burning, approximately 3 minutes.

Pour butter mixture over crackers, and spread evenly.

Bake for 5 minutes. Immediately sprinkle chocolate chips on top, and cover with foil for 3 minutes. Remove top foil, and spread the chocolate evenly.

Sprinkle pecans on top, cover with foil again, and freeze for 20 minutes.

Break up, and enjoy.
