Rod-style pretzels are dipped in Carmel and chocolate and some have nuts on them as well. The nuts vary from cashews, to pecans, to wal-nuts.
The type of caramel I used on the pretzels is Peters brand; I got it at Cake Craft Co. 5436 Cleveland Ave.. Just a little south of 161 in a little strip mall on the left side across from Meijer's. 614-823-8856.
I’m sure any kind of caramel would work. This came in a huge rectangle block and I just cut it into little squares and put it in the microwave for 40 seconds, stirred it and then about 40 seconds more and it was perfect. When that batch started to get a little hard, I put it back in microwave for a little bit.
