Ingredients
- 500 g white flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 10 g bicarbonate of soda
- 2 Tbl wholegrain mustard
- 100 g grated cheddar
- 4 cloves garlic, roughly chopped
- 1 Tbl butter
- 2 tsp chopped fresh thyme
- 350 ml milk
- 2 Tbl natural yogurt
Preparation
Step 1
Heat 1 Tbl oil and butter in hot pan and sauté garlic for 2-3 minutes until soft.
Sift flour, salt and soda into bowl, combine fully. Add garlic to the flour along with the thyme and cheddar.
Mix together mustard and yogurt. Add along with milk to flour mixture and bring together, gently folding ingredients together.
Tip out onto heavily floured surface and divide into four equal portions. Form each portion into rounds and place onto baking tray lined with parchment. Cut a cross into each using serrated knife.
Bake at 350 for 25 minutes, turning once.
