Ingredients

  • 1 (16-oz.) package Ziti pasta OR gluten free pasta
  • 1 pound Polish sausage, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 (14.5-oz.) cans stewed tomatoes
  • 3 (8-oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/4 cup parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs OR gluten free bread crumbs
  • 8 ounces shredded Monterey Jack cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, drain.
In a medium skillet over medium-high heat, cook sausage in oil until browned on both sides, 5 minutes.
In a large bowl, combine Ziti, sausage, stewed tomatoes, tomato sauce, oregano, parsley and pepper. Mix well. Pour into 9- x13-inch baking dish.
Sprinkle with bread crumbs and top with shredded cheese. Cover with foil and bake in preheated oven 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake 10 to 15 minutes more, until top is golden.
