Pizza Crust

Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 package active dry yeast
  • 1 pinch sugar
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil

Preparation

Step 1

1. Place water in a small bowl. Sprinkle yeast and sugar on top, stirring to dissolve. Let stand until bubbly - 5-10 minutes.

2. Combine flour and salt. Stir in yeast mixture and add oil, adding more flour if needed to form a ball of dough. Turn out onto a floured surface and knead 5 minutes, until smooth and elastic.

3. Place in an oiled bowl, turning to coat with oil. Cover and let rise until doubled; about 45 minutes. Punch down and divide in half. Roll into a ball or circle and roll out to fit pizza pan. Cover and let stand 15 minutes.

Nothing interesting, but a good basic white flour crust. Just threw everything into the bread machine; worked perfectly.
