Ingredients
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
- 1 (10-3/4 oz.) can golden cream of mushroom soup
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper, to taste
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs or Italian seasoned bread crumbs
- 1 egg, slightly-beaten
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
Preparation
Step 1
Put onions and oil in pan, cook until onion is tender.
Put ground beef, 1/4 cup soup, bread crumbs, egg. salt and pepper. Mix well, Shape into 6 patties.
Put patties in the pan with onions and oil. Turn patties over halfway through cooking. Pour off excess fat.
In a small bowl, blend flour and remaining soup until smooth.
Mix in ketchup, water, Worcestershire sauce. Pour over meat in skillet.
Cover, and cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
