Caramel 1 Picture


  • 1 C Granulated Sugar
  • 1 C Brown Sugar
  • 3/4 C Butter
  • 2 C Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 3/4 C Light Corn Syrup
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla



Step 1

Mix first five ingredients in a 4 Qt saucepan. Cook on medium heat on large burner stirring occasionally to 220˚, approximately 15 minutes. Stir continuously to 248˚. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Pour into parchment lined 8"x8" or 7"x10" baking dish. Let set at room temperature or in the refrigerator until set. These carmels will be mildly soft, not sticky.
