Ripe Tomatoes and Mozzarella

Ingredients

  • 2 large ripe tomatoes, peeled and sliced in 1/2" slices
  • 1/4 tsp. fine sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp. sugar
  • 6 oz. mozzarella, sliced in less than 1/4" slices
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 6 fresh basil leaves, cut at an angle into long strips

Preparation

Step 1

Sprinkle the tomato slices with salt and then sugar. Arrange the tomato and mozzarella slices alternating on a platter. Drizzle with olive oil and garnish with fresh basil strip.
