Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/2 tsp. five spice powder
  • 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast halves, cut into 1 1/2" pieces
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 2 Tbsp. milk
  • 2/3 cup finely crushed toasted sesame crackers
  • 1/3 cup finely ground peanuts
  • 1/3 cup bottled sweet and sour sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. bottled barbecue sauce

Preparation

Step 1

1. Combine the flour, garlic salt, five spice powder, and pepper in a resealable plastic bag. Add chicken, and shake to coat

2. Combine egg and milk in a shallow bowl. Combine sesame crackers and peanuts in another shallow bowl. Dip flour coated chunks in egg mixture, then roll in cracker-peanut mix

3. Spread the coated chicken chunks in a greased 15x10x1 inch baking pan. Bake 10 to 12 minutes in a 400° oven until chicken is no longer pink

4. Meanwhile, stir together sweet and sour sauce and barbecue sauce. Use as dipping sauce for chicken chunks.

Could be an appetizer or meal I suppose.
