Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 Cup of Oil
  • 3 1/2 Cup of All Purpose Flour
  • 1 Onion - Chopped
  • 3 Cloves of Garlic - Chopped
  • 1 Bell Pepper - Chopped
  • 2 Celery Ribs - Chopped
  • 2 - (14 1/4oz) Cans of Stewed Tomatoes
  • 1 - Can Rotel Tomatoes
  • 3 - 15oz Can Cream Corn
  • 1 - 16oz Bag of Frozen Corn
  • 1 - Gallon Water
  • 2 lbs of Shrimp...Peel
  • Seasoning to taste

Preparation

Step 1

In a large pot, make a light brown roux by stirring oil into flour over medium heat. Remove from heat and add onion garlic, bell pepper and celery. Cook for 10 minutes. Add Tomatoes, cook 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Add Corn and water cook for 1 hour. Add shrimp bring back to a boil cook 30 minutes. Season to taste.
