French Toast Casserole

Ingredients

  • 10 ounces Loaf French bread, 1 inch thick
  • 8 large egg
  • 3 cups milk
  • 4 teaspoons sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • cinnamon

Preparation

Step 1

Arrange inch thick slices of bread in greased 13x9x2 pan. Mix remaining ingredients except butter. Pour over bread, cover with foil, refrigerate 24 to 36 hours or overnight. Dot with melted butter.

Bake uncovered @ 350 for 45 to 50 minutes.

Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

Sprinkle with cinnamon or powered sugar (if desired).

Serve with maple syrup.
