Ingredients
- 1 package active dry yeast
- 1 1/4 cups warm water
- 1/3 cup white wheat flour
- 1/3 cup quick cooking oats
- 1/3 cup wheat germ
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 2 cups flour
- 1/4 cup cornmeal
Preparation
Step 1
In mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in water. Add whole wheat flour, oats, wheat germ, sugar, salt and 1 1/4 cups flour. Beat until smooth. Add enough flour to form soft dough. Place in greased bowl, turning once to great top. Cover and let rise in warm place until about doubled (about 1 hour). Punch dough down and shape into a loaf. Coat 9x5x3" loaf pan with non-stick spray and sprinkle with 1/2 of cornmeal. Cover and let rise until about doubled, about 30 minutes. Bake at 400F for 30 minutes. Remove from pan and cool on wire rack.
