Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 3 cups sugar
- 6 eggs
- 3 cups flour
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 325F. Grease and flour pan well.
Cream butter, gradually adding sugar. Combine well on medium speed. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add flour and cream alternately, begining and ending with flour. When well blended, stir in vanilla.
Pour batter into pan and bake 1 hour or until toothpick inserted into center of cake comes out clean. Remove from oven and cool in pan for 15 minutes. Invert onto serving platter and cool completely.
Decorate as desired.
