"Shortbreads "

These can be rolled and cut with a favorite cookie cutter or used as a base for,Tarts.Butter,Cherry,Lemon.Numerous uses.Great for "Maid's of Honor"

Ingredients

• 1 cup Icing Sugar
• 1 lb.Butter (Not Margarine.).Soft at room temperature.Not melted.
• 1 teaspoon vanilla.
• 4 cups flour.

Preparation

Step 1

Beat butter & icing sugar with a mixer until well blended.
Add vanilla.Mix.
Gradually add the flour a cup at a time.
Place on a prepared floured surface & roll to desired thickness for cookies.
OR------ Roll up a bit at a time and press in muffin tins.
Bake at 350 degree oven for 10-12 mins or slightly browned.
When cooled ice cookies with favorite icing or fill muffins with desired fillings.
