Ingredients
- 2 tsp butter
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 3 Tbsp flour
- 2 cups fat-free half-and-half
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
Preparation
Step 1
Melt butter in a medium saucepan. Add garlic and cook over low heat for 1 minute or until fragrant. Whisk in flour, then whisk in the half-and half. Finally, whisk in the salt, pepper, and nutmeg and bring to a boil, whisking frequently. Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes or until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in the Parmesan.
