Chinese Mustard Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger root or 1 teaspoon dry ginger powder
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Colman's Mustard
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Preparation

Step 1

Bring to a boil vinegar, sugar, salt and soy sauce. Mix cornstarch and dry mustard in 1/2 cup cold water. Stir it into saucepan and cook until it thickens. Grate in ginger root or add dry ginger.

Serve hot or cold
