MY NOTES: I made these for Christmas 2002. They fell apart and didn't have a real “noggy” flavor.

  • 4

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 c flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 c butter, softened
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 1/3 c eggnog
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp rum flavoring
  • 3 T sugar
  • 1 tsp nutmeg

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400°

In a large mixing bowl combine flour, baking powder, 1 tsp nutmeg and salt.

In a separate bowl beat butter until fluffy. Add egg yolks, sugar, eggnog, vanilla and rum flavoring; blending all ingredients well. Gradually stir in flour mixture; mix well.

Place dough in cookie press and press cookies onto ungreased cookie sheets. Combine 3 T sugar and 1 tsp ground nutmeg and sprinkle on top of the cookies.

Bake for 6-7 minutes or until it reaches a slightly yellow color.
