Ingredients

    tbs butter

  • 1

    med onion minced

  • 1

    lb ground beef

  • 1

    lb ground pork

  • 1

    cup bread crumbs

  • 1/2

    cup half and half

  • 1

    tbs honey

  • 1/2

    tsp allspice

  • 2

    eggs

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • Vegetable oil for cooking

  • 2

    cups Greek yogurt

  • 2

    tbs chopped parsley

  • 1

    tbs chopped chives

  • 1

    clove garlic, minced

  • Zest and juice from 1 lemon

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Heat butter in a large skillet over med heat until tender. Set aside to cool. 2. Mix together cooled onions, beef, pork, breadcrumbs, half and half, honey, allspice, eggs salt and pepper in large bowl. Using wet hands, form into 2 inch round balls. 3. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat and cook meatballs in small batches until golden brown. Place browned meatballs on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes. 4. While meatballs are baking, stir together all herbed yogurt ingredients in a mixing bowl. Serve with meatballs.
