Hot Fruit Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 (1 lb) can pitted sweet Bing cherries
  • 1 (1 lb) can sliced peaches
  • 1 (1 lb) can pear halves
  • 1 (1 lb) can apricot halves
  • 1 (1 lb) can pineapple chunks
  • 1 1/2 cups syrup – any juice, or combination, from above
  • 2 bananas, sliced thick
  • 2 cups crumbled macaroon cookies
  • 1 cup Madeira wine, or 1 more cup fruit syrup
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Drain fruits.

Combine all ingredients in a 3 quart casserole. Cover and bake for about 1 hour. This is good with any meat.
