Ingredients
- Meringue:
- 2 Lemons squeezed (1/3 c to 1/2 c lemon juice)
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 cup water
- 3 T cornstarch
- 3 or 4 egg whites
- 1/4 tsp cr tartar
- 6 T sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla

Preparation
Step 1
Mix egg yolks in water then add sugar and lemon juice. Let this mixture come to a boil. Put the cornstarch in a little water to mix and then slowly add to boiled mixture stirring until thickened.
Pour this mixture into a BAKED PIE SHELL and frost with meringue.
MERINGUE:
Beat egg whites and cr of tartar to stiff peaks
Beat in sugar 1 T at a time slowly
Beat in vanilla
Bake 350 for short 20 min. until golden brown
