Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Butter
- 1/2 cup Margarine
- 2 T. Corn Syrup
- 1 C. Brown Sugar
- 2 T Vanilla
- 3 1/2 cups Oatmeal
- 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2/3 cup Shredded Coconut
Preparation
Step 1
In a large saucepan melt butter, margarine, corn syrup and brown sugar. Add vanilla, oatmeal, baking powder, salt and coconut. Mix well and pat onto greased cookie sheet. A fork dipped in cold water helps to spread mixture evenly. Mixture should be about 1/4 inch thick. Bale at 325 for 15 to 20 minutes. Cut into squares while warm.
