Ingredients
- 1 box Hot Roll Mix
- 2 lbs. Hamburger (browned and drained)
- 1 Potato
- Minced Onion
- 2/3 pkg Taco Seasoning
- 8-12 oz Shreaded Cheddar Cheese
- Chopped Lettuce
- Taco Sauce
Preparation
Step 1
Prepare Hot Roll Mix as directed on box , minus the yeast.
Roll out on a floured cloth into round (size of a soup bowl)size. Fold and drop into fry daddy or (3 sticks Crisco) melted Crisco in sauce pan on med heat. Pan should hold two, back to back. Let boil for a min or so and flip. Another min or so and remove and place on plate lined with napkins. Repeat until all dough has been rolled, shaped and fried.
Brown hamburger, shredded potato and minced onion. Drain. Add taco seasoning, a little water and taco sauce to taste.
Serve meat mixture in taco shell. Add sauce , cheese, onions, lettuce , ketchup and what ever else you may enjoy in a taco.
Makes 16 or 17 shells.
