Sausage-Cheese Bake

• 1/2 lb. link sausages, diced
• 1/3 cup chopped onion
• 2 eggs
• 1 cup pancake mix
• 1 cup milk
• 3/4 teaspoon dried basil
• 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Place sausage and onion in a 9-inch pie pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes, turning half-way through. Beat eggs slightly. Add pancake mix and 1/3 cup of milk. Blend with fork until moistened. Stir in remaining milk and basil. Pour over sausage mixture. Sprinkle with cheese and bake 20 minutes longer or until puffy and brown.

Serve with pancake syrup.
