Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 3/4 cup flour, sifted
  • 2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. cinnamon

Preparation

Step 1

Cream butter; add 1 cup sugar gradually. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Blend in sifted flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. Shape into balls, using a level teaspoonful of dough; roll in combined sugar and cinnamon. Place 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake at 400° for about 8 minutes.

Makes about 5 dozen cookies.
