Amish Baked Oatmeal

Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 cups Quick Cooking Oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/4 cup Butter, melted
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 2 tsp Vanilla
  • Pinch Salt

Preparation

Step 1

In a medium bowl, mix oatmeal and brown sugar.

Add milk, egg and melted butter.

Add baking powder, vanilla and salt. Mix together.

Pour mixture into a greased 8x8 pan. At this point, you can bake it or put it in the refrigerator overnight.

Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.

Scoop into bowls or wait five minutes and cut into squares.

This is very good topped with yogurt and berries.

This is also very good with cinnamon added.
