Ingredients
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup butter softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup baking cocoa
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 1/3 cup butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons green creme de menthe
- 2 tablespoons white creme de cacao
- 1-1/2 ounces unsweetened baking chocolate
Preparation
Step 1
1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease bottom and sides of 8-inch square pan with shortening or spray with cooking spray.
2. In medium bowl, beat granulated sugar, 1/2 cup butter, the vanilla and eggs with electric mixer on medium speed, or stir with spoon, until smooth. Stir in flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt. Spread in pan.
3. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean; cool 15 minutes. In large bowl, beat remaining ingredients except chocolate on medium speed, or stir with spoon, until smooth; spread over brownies. Refrigerate 15 minutes.
4. In 1-quarter saucepan, melt chocolate over low heat; spread evenly over powdered sugar mixture. Refrigerate at least 3 hours. For bars, cut into 5 rows by 5 rows.
