Salted Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 c unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 c packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 t vanilla
  • 1-1/4 c flour
  • 1/2 t baking soda
  • 1 t salt, divided
  • 3 c oats
  • 1 c semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 325. Cream butter and both sugars in mixer on medium until smooth, about 3 mins. Beat in one egg at a time until combined. Add vanilla.
In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda and 1/2 t salt. Add to butter and egg mixture until combined.
Fold in oats and chocolate chips until combined.
Drop by rounded tablespoons 2" apart. Use last 1/2 t salt to sprinkle on top. Bake 12-15 mins. Allow to cool for 5 mins before transferring
