Ingredients

  • 3/4

    c. butter, softened

  • 8

    oz. cream cheese, softened

  • 2

    c. sugar

  • 2

    eggs

  • 3

    c. flour

  • 1/2

    tsp. baking powder

  • 1/2

    tsp. baking soda

  • 1/2

    tsp. salt

  • 1 1/2

    c. mashed bananas

  • 1

    c. coarsely chopped pecans, toasted

  • 1

    tsp. vanilla

Directions

Heat oven to 350ยบ. Grease & flour 2 loaf pans; set aside. Beat butter & cream cheese til creamy. Gradually add sugar; beating til light & fluffy. Add eggs one at a time; beating well after each. Combine dry ingredients; gradually add to creamed mixture. Stir in bananas, pecans & vanilla. Spoon evenly into prepared pans. Bake for 1 hour or til tests done. May have to shield bread with aluminum foil last 15 minutes to prevent over browning. Cool in pans 10 minutes; then remove from pans to cool completely.
