Ingredients
- 3 servings
- 1/2 head Savoy or Napa cabbage (about 1 1/2 pounds), cored and cut into 1-inch squares
- 1 tbsp. EVOO
- 1 tbsp. sake
- 2 tsp. black bean-garlic sauce (don't overdo this, it's salty!)
- 1 pinch hot pepper flakes
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 tsp. rice vinegar
- 1 tsp. sesame oil
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 500°F. Toss cabbage and olive oil in a large stainless steel bowl or roasting tray. Roast until beginning to wilt and brown, about 25 minutes, stirring every ten or so.
Combine sake, black bean sauce and pepper flakes in a small bowl; drizzle over the cabbage and toss. Continue roasting until tender and some of the liquid has evaporated, about 10 to 15 minutes more. Watch carefully at this stage so it doesn't burn.. Remove from oven, toss with scallions, vinegar and sesame oil and stir until combined.
