Ingredients

  • Sugar Glaze:
  • 8 oz cream cheese, room temp
  • 3 sticks butter, room temp
  • 6 eggs, room temp
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp almond extract
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tsp almond extract

Preparation

Step 1

Cream the butter and cream cheese (10 minutes). Add the sugar, then mix well. Beat, alternating between 2 eggs at a time and the flour til all mixed in. Add vanilla and almond extracts and baking powder.
Place in a cold oven. Set tat 300 and bake 1-1 1/2 hrs.

For sugar glaze:
Bring sugar and water to a boil and cook for 3 minutes Add almond extract. Brush glaze over cooled cake with pastry brush.
