Anisette Biscotti

Actually, these should be called unoscotti because they are baked only once and are extremely tender.
The recipe originates from Italy and was given to me by my grandmother, Albina's, second cousin, Emily.

Ingredients
- 1 dozen eggs
- 3 cups sugar
- 1 bottle anise extract
- 1 pound butter
- 1 cup milk
- 10 cups flour, or as much as it takes to make a soft dough
- 10 teaspoons baking powder
Preparation
Step 1
Beat sugar and butter together until fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Add the flour a little at a time.
Form into loaves
Bake at 350 degrees
They are greater frosted, too! Prepare a buttercream frosting flavored with anise or vanilla extract and spread on the cooled loaves.
