Ingredients

    lbs. ground beef

  • 3

    cloves garlic, minced

  • 1

    onion, chopped

  • 1

    (12-14 oz.) can tomato sauce

  • 1

    (10 oz.) can Rotel

  • ½

    tsp. salt

  • tsp. black pepper

  • 1

    tsp. ground oregano

  • 1

    T. cumin

  • 2

    T. chili powder (or more to taste)

  • 1

    (14 oz.) can kidney beans, rinsed & drained

  • 1

    (14 oz.) can pinto beans, rinsed & drained

  • ¼

    c. masa

  • ½

    c. warm water

Directions

Brown beef with garlic & onion in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add tomato sauce, Rotel, salt, pepper, oregano, cumin & chili powder. Cover & reduce heat to low. Simmer for 30 minutes. Add drained & rinsed beans. Stir to combine, then cover & simmer another 20 minutes. Mix masa & water, then add to chili. Stir to combine & simmer for a final 10-15 minutes. Serve over fritos. Top with cheese, onions, pickled jalapenos & sour cream.
