Chili

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 2 bell peppers, cut into pieces
  • 4 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2 lbs ground beef/steak
  • 1 Can Chili Magic as base
  • 2 large cans of tomatoes
  • 1 Can of Black Beans
  • 1 Can of Chili Beans
  • 1/4 - 1/3 cup chili powder
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 2 Cans tomato Sauce
  • Kosher salt and black pepper
  • 1 1/2 Chili peppers
  • Radishes
  • Corn Bread - Trader Joes
  • Sour Cream
  • Cheese
  • DO NOT ADD TOMATO PASTE. MAKES IT TOO THICK

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oil. Add onions, bell peppers, and garlic. Stir occasionally until soft. 6-8 minutes

Add beef and cook. 5-7 minutes
Add chili magic
Add 3 large cans of tomatoes (puree in blender)

Add tomato paste, chili powder, and cumin and cook stirring 2 minutes.

Add beer, beans, tomatoes and juices, 2 1/2 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp pepper. Simmer over medium heat, until thickened, 20-25 minutes.

Serve with corn bread and add toppings.
