White Wine Pasta Sauce

White wine sauce w/cheese

  • 3

    diced garlic cloves

  • ¼

    cup olive oil

  • 1

    cup dry white wine

  • ¼

    cup butter

  • 1

    cup heavy cream or half & half

  • ½

    cup Parmesan cheese

  • ¼

    cup fresh chopped basil and parsley

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 4-5

    tablespoons of flour for desired thickness

  • Mushrooms may also be added


Heat olive oil over medium heat and lightly brown the garlic, Stir in salt, pepper, wine, butter, and mushrooms. While stirring add the cream, the cheese, parsley, and basil. Remove from heat and keep stirring for a couple of minutes Slowly add flour as you stir until you have your desired thickness, Pour over your desired pasta dish. Enjoy! This sauce is versatile it can be used with chicken or seafood dishes.
