Peanut Butter Bread

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 cup salted butter, softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup milk

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan and set it aside.
In a small bowl, combine the flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
Cream the butter and sugars till they are combined. Add the peanut butter and mix it in. Add the egg and vanilla. Scrape down the sides of the bowl and mix again. Add the flour mixture. Blend until combined. The mixture will be dry. Slowly pour in the milk and mix well.
Spoon the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
Bake it for 50 minutes or until the center springs back when pressed with a fingertip.
Cool the loaf for 10 minutes in the pan and remove the bread from the pan to a cooling rack to cool completely.
