French Toast (in a mug)

Ingredients

  • Custard:
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 Tablespoon sugar or 1 1/2 Tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • Bread:
  • 2 slices of bread, buttered and cubes
  • Semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

Spray 2 ramekins or coffee mug with nonstick spray. Divide buttered, cubed bread equally into the 2 mugs (one slice per mug).

Mix custard ingredients in a bowl. Pour half of custard mixture into each mug. Press bread into custard mixture until well absorbed.

Cook in microwave on HIGH for 1-2 minutes, until thoroughly cooked. Let cool 1 minute.
