Ingredients
- 3 cups boiling water
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup butter, cut into pieces
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 8 oz cream cheese, cubed
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 4 cups dry potato buds
Preparation
Step 1
1. Spray a 4 qt slow cooker with cooking spry. Inside cooker, mix boiling water, milk, butter, sour cream and cream cheese with wire whisk until blended. Add garlic salt, pepper and dry mashed potato buds. Mix just until blended.
2. Cover and cook on low heat setting for 1 1/2 hours, stirring once after 1 hour. Stir again before serving.
3. Serve at once or keep on low setting for up to 3 hours, stirring every 30 mins. If potatoes come too thick, stir in additional milk, a few tablespoons at a time. Serve with gravy or sprinkle with chopped parsley.
