Simple Guacamole for two

Ingredients

  • 1 firm, ripe Haas avocado, halved, pitted, and peeled
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced or pressed
  • 1/2 jalapeño, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon coarse salt
  • 1/2 lime, juiced (about 3/4 oz.)

Preparation

Step 1

Put garlic, jalapeño and salt in a medium bowl. Add lime juice and muddle together.

Add avocado to bowl and mash with a fork to a chunky consistency.

Serve immediately, or press plastic wrap directly onto surface of guacamole to prevent discoloration, and refrigerate for up to 6 hours.
