Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp margarine
  • 1/4 cup fine egg noodles
  • 1 cup rice, uncooked
  • 1 can chicken broth + 1 can water

Step 1

Measure noodles and rice and set aside before you start. Open can of soup befor you start. Melt margarine in a saucepan over low heat. Add noodles and saute, stirring often, for about 3 minutes. Add rice and saute, stirring often, for about 1 minute. Add broth and water. Turn heat up and bring mixture to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 15-25 minutes, or until liquid is absorbed. Cooking time will depend on the type of rice you use, so check on it every few minutes.

This recipe can easily be doubled, tripled or even quadrupled if necessary!
