Chocolate Almond Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • Makes a pint; recipe can be doubled for quart
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/3 cup SUPERFINE sugar (not powdered!) sometimes called dessert sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 15 chocolate-covered almonds, chopped

Preparation

Step 1

Combine milk and cream with the sugar. Whisk for 2 minutes or until sugar dissolves. Stir in the vanilla extract, then stir in the chopped chocolate -covered almonds. Proceed with your ice cream maker's instructions to freeze.
