A unique take on a traditional cupcake these fun Chocolate Cake Bites with Peanut Butter Frosting will remind you of a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup.

Ingredients

• Chocolate Cake Mix
• Best Peanut Butter Buttercream Frosting (see frostings)
• Parchment Paper
• Cookie Sheet
• Round Cookie Cutter
• Pastry Bags
• Wilton 2D Decorating Tip

Preparation

Step 1

Make up a box of Chocolate Cake Mix according to the instructions at the box.

Pour cake mix into a large cookie sheet lined with parchment paper

Let the cake batter sit on a flat counter for 10-15 minutes to allow it to settle and even out.

Bake the cake in a 350 degree oven for 17-20 minutes.

Once the cake has cooled, cut out your round mini cake bites with a 2” round biscuit cutter.

Make a batch of our The Best Peanut Butter Buttercream Frosting.

Add a layer of The Best Peanut Butter Buttercream Frosting between the two pieces of chocolate cake.

Finally, add a small swirl of The Best Peanut Butter Buttercream Frosting to the top of the Cake Bites.
